Privacy and Personal Data Notice (KVKK)

This notice has been prepared to inform altlar.com visitors under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK).

Data controller

Your personal data is processed by altlar.com as the data controller. You can reach us at info@altlar.com.

What data do we process?

altlar.com has no membership, forms or payments; we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number. The data processed is:

• Connection logs: The infrastructure service hosting the site (Cloudflare) temporarily keeps technical records such as IP address, browser information and the requested page, for security and service continuity.
• Analytics data (only with your consent): If you give consent in your cookie preferences, usage information such as pages visited and device type is collected through Google Analytics.
• Preferences that stay in your browser: Your theme, currency, watchlist and cookie choice are stored only in your own browser's local storage and are not sent to our servers.

Purposes and legal grounds

• Connection logs are processed so that the site runs securely and without interruption, under KVKK Art. 5/2-f (legitimate interest) and the obligations arising from Law No. 5651 (Art. 5/2-ç).
• Analytics data is processed to understand which parts of the site are used and to improve the service, based solely on your explicit consent (Art. 5/1).

Transfers

Servers of Cloudflare, Inc. are used for hosting and, if you give consent, servers of Google LLC are used for analytics. These servers may be located abroad. The transfer of analytics data abroad is based on your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 9). Apart from these, your data is not sold or transferred to third parties; it may be shared with competent authorities where legally required.

Retention period

Connection logs are kept for the period required by the relevant legislation, and analytics data for the retention period set in Google Analytics. You can delete the preferences in your browser at any time from your browser settings.

Your rights

Under KVKK Art. 11 you have the right to: learn whether your data is processed; request information if it has been processed; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties in Turkey or abroad to whom it is transferred; request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate, and its deletion or destruction; request that these actions be notified to the parties it was transferred to; object to an outcome against you resulting from analysis by automated systems; and claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.
