What is Chainbase (C)?

Chainbase (C) is a decentralized data network that turns scattered on-chain records into a format AI applications can consume directly. The C token circulates on BNB Smart Chain and serves as the ecosystem's payment and governance asset. The project was founded in Singapore in 2021 and raised $15 million in 2024 with Tencent and Matrix Partners China as co-leads.

What problem does Chainbase solve?

Every blockchain uses its own data structure, which makes cross-chain analysis and AI training difficult. Chainbase converts these different formats into a common schema. As a result, an application or AI agent can reach data from multiple networks through a single query layer. Instead of pulling records from separate nodes and normalizing them, developers can rely on Chainbase to handle that workload within the network. This approach treats data as a programmable asset rather than a passive byproduct.

What is the C token used for?

C is used to pay for data query fees. Participants can stake C to support network validation, and operators earn C rewards when they complete data processing tasks. Token holders vote on protocol upgrades and incentive models. These roles create a circular economic link between those who supply data, those who verify it, and those who consume it.

How does Chainbase process data?

The network's standardization layer is called Manuscript. Records from different chains are reduced to a single format at this stage. A dual-chain architecture then separates data collection and validation from execution and distribution. Network security relies on dual staking: validators lock both C tokens and additional assets, which economically backs the reliability of the data.
