What is APRO (AT)?

APRO is an oracle protocol that supplies external data to blockchain applications, covering areas like asset prices, artificial intelligence inputs, and real-world asset information. The native token AT serves as the economic backbone, coordinating data providers, governance, and service fees across the network.

How is AT used within the APRO ecosystem?

Node operators must lock AT as collateral before they can supply data to the network. This stake is subject to slashing if a node submits incorrect or manipulative information, creating a direct cost for dishonest behavior. Token holders also vote on protocol parameters including fee levels, chain integrations, and technical upgrades. Applications that consume oracle data can settle their service payments in AT, tying the token's utility to actual network usage.

What mechanisms protect against inaccurate data?

APRO applies several layers of filtering to raw data gathered from multiple sources. A time‑volume weighted average price (TVWAP) calculation reduces the impact of brief distortions on any single exchange, while outlier rejection algorithms discard data points that deviate sharply from the broader set. An AI‑based validation layer provides an additional check against abnormal price movements that might signal manipulation. When a node does submit faulty data, the penalty is proportional to its reputation score, making repeat offenses progressively more costly for the operator.

How do applications connect to APRO's data feeds?

The protocol supports two delivery modes. Data Push works by automatically updating a smart contract whenever a predefined threshold is crossed, such as a significant price swing. Data Pull is designed for latency‑sensitive use cases: nodes sign price proofs off‑chain, and the end user only incurs a single gas fee when submitting that signed proof to the contract. These two paths let developers choose the model that best fits their application's update frequency and cost requirements.
