What is Block Street (BSB)?

As the market for tokenized equities and real-world assets (RWAs) expands, one persistent challenge is that the same underlying asset gets trapped in isolated pools spread across different issuers and chains. Block Street (BSB) is an infrastructure protocol built to consolidate that fragmented liquidity into a single execution layer. It combines two core components: the Aqua engine, which brings the request-for-quote (RFQ) model familiar to institutional traders on-chain by verifying cryptographically signed quotes at settlement, and Everst, a lending protocol with risk parameters calibrated specifically for tokenized stocks rather than generic crypto assets.

What role does the BSB token play in the ecosystem?

BSB serves multiple utility and governance functions within the protocol. Holding and staking the token can unlock lower trading fees on Aqua and Everst, reward liquidity providers with BSB distributions, and grant voting power over decisions such as fee structures, risk frameworks and the addition of new asset classes. On Everst, BSB itself can be deposited as collateral to borrow tokenized equities, while higher staking thresholds give users access to elevated leverage tiers and priority order routing. A portion of the fees generated by both Aqua and Everst is directed toward open-market buybacks of BSB followed by burning, creating a mechanism that aims to reduce outstanding supply as platform activity grows.

How Aqua and Everst operate together

When a user wants to trade a tokenized asset, Aqua simultaneously requests price quotes from multiple market makers. Those quotes are signed off-chain via the EIP-712 standard, and the system routes the order to the best available price before settling it on-chain. This setup avoids the wide spreads and passive capital that often characterize AMM-only venues. Everst then takes that same liquidity depth and integrates it into a lending framework where collateral valuation and liquidation logic are tuned to equity-like instruments. Because Aqua's execution layer feeds directly into Everst's risk engine, a tokenized stock can move fluidly between being a trading instrument, a collateral asset and a yield-bearing position without leaving the unified infrastructure. The protocol operates across Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain and additional networks through a LayerZero integration.
