What is Pons (PONS)?
Pons is a launch platform on Robinhood Chain that lets anyone create a fixed-supply token without technical knowledge. The PONS token, issued through the platform's own infrastructure, serves as the ecosystem's reference asset. Users simply connect a wallet, fill in a few details, and their token is deployed and immediately tradable.
The role of the PONS token on the platform
PONS is the target of buybacks funded by a share of the platform's trading fees. As activity on the platform grows, a portion of that fee revenue is used to purchase PONS on the open market, creating ongoing demand tied to usage. Some of the repurchased tokens are burned, which gradually reduces the total supply over time.
The token carries no governance, staking, or platform-access rights. Its value proposition relies on this economic loop rather than any direct utility — users can launch tokens and trade on the platform without holding PONS at all.
How the platform works
Launching a token normally means deploying a smart contract, opening a liquidity pool on a decentralized exchange, and locking that liquidity to build trust — each a separate technical step. Pons combines all three into a single on-chain transaction. After the creator enters a name, ticker, and image and confirms the transaction, the factory contract mints the fixed-supply token and locks the liquidity position automatically.
Because liquidity is locked at the moment of launch, the creator cannot withdraw it and abandon the project. The platform operates exclusively on Robinhood Chain and is built as launch infrastructure for the meme tokens and speculative projects that populate the network.
