What is Resolv (RESOLV)?

RESOLV is the token that carries voting power and fee-sharing rights within the Resolv ecosystem. That ecosystem centers on USR, a stablecoin designed to track the US dollar. Instead of holding cash reserves, USR uses crypto collateral and derivatives; ETH or BTC deposits are paired with a short derivatives position to reduce price exposure.

What the RESOLV token controls

RESOLV is separate from USR: it does not act as a dollar substitute. Holders can vote on parameters such as collateral types and fee levels. They can also stake RESOLV to receive stRESOLV, which opens a path to protocol fee rewards. Unstaking carries a 14-day waiting period. The total supply is capped at one billion RESOLV, and no extra tokens can be created past that limit.

Why Resolv separates USR from RLP

Resolv splits exposure into two sides. USR sits on the senior side and is meant to stay relatively steady. RLP is the junior side; it absorbs costs such as negative funding payments in derivatives markets. In exchange, RLP takes on more risk and seeks higher returns. This design keeps the stablecoin's stability efforts separate from the volatility absorbed by yield-seeking participants.

The main risks around RESOLV

On March 22, 2026, Resolv's USR minting mechanism was exploited. An attacker created unbacked USR, and the stablecoin lost its dollar peg. The event also caused a sharp drop in the RESOLV token. The team said the collateral pool remained intact and the weakness came from the minting authority logic, not from the collateral model.

Because RESOLV is a governance asset, its value is closely tied to the protocol's health. Smart-contract flaws, a USR depeg, or large losses in the RLP side can all weigh on the token indirectly.
