About Ethena
Ethena (ENA) is the governance token behind USDe, a synthetic dollar that stays pegged not through fiat reserves but through spot crypto collateral offset by short futures positions. This delta-hedging approach aims to keep the net portfolio value steady around one dollar, offering an alternative to bank-backed stablecoins.
ENA holders vote on protocol decisions such as collateral rules and integrations. Users can stake USDe to receive sUSDe, which accrues yield from funding rates, or stake ENA to obtain sENA and earn ecosystem rewards.
