What is Concrete (CT)?
Concrete (CT) is the token backing a platform that turns idle crypto into productive capital without asking users to manage the moving parts themselves. Instead of manually chasing the best rates across lending markets, depositors place assets into automated vaults that handle the routing on their behalf.
What happens inside a Concrete vault?
When a user deposits an asset like USDT or WBTC, they do not receive the exact same token in return. They get a vault share token — a representation of their initial deposit plus the yield it accumulates over time. Behind the scenes, the protocol allocates the underlying capital across multiple DeFi venues, shifting funds as opportunities change. The system leans on established standards such as ERC-4626, meaning the vault shares themselves remain composable and can be used elsewhere in the ecosystem as collateral or for further staking.
What role does CT play?
CT functions as the governance lever of the platform. Those who lock their CT tokens gain the ability to vote on protocol parameters — including which yield strategies to prioritise and how fees are structured. The total supply is fixed at 1 billion tokens with no ongoing inflation, so participation is not diluted over time. Staking CT can also unlock additional benefits within the protocol, though these are structured around long-term alignment rather than immediate payouts.
