What is Viction (VIC)?

Viction (VIC), previously known as TomoChain, is a Layer-1 blockchain designed to eliminate gas fees for users interacting with certain tokens. This zero-gas experience is achieved through the VRC25 token standard, where transaction costs are covered at the protocol or issuer level rather than by the end user. Founded in 2017 by Dr. Long Vuong and launched on mainnet in 2018, the project rebranded to Viction in 2023 to emphasize its focus on accessible, human-centric design.

What makes zero-gas transactions possible on Viction?

Gas fees are a common friction point in blockchain applications, often requiring newcomers to hold a separate network token just to move assets. Viction addresses this with its VRC25 standard: when a user sends or interacts with a VRC25 token, the gas cost is sponsored. The user's wallet only needs to contain the token being transferred, not VIC for fees. This design aims to simplify micropayments, game economies, and everyday application flows by removing a step that frequently confuses first-time users.

How does VIC secure and govern the network?

VIC is the native token that powers the network's consensus and governance. Viction uses a Proof-of-Stake Voting (PoSV) system with 150 masternodes elected by VIC holders. These masternodes validate blocks, and the network employs a double-validation process to strengthen security and speed up finality. Masternode operators earn rewards in VIC, and token holders can participate in governance decisions by voting. Because Viction is fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), developers can deploy Solidity smart contracts using familiar tools without rewriting code.
